About Me

My photo
I am usually typing on a computer most of the day, but today I am trying my hand at a new project: My 2011 365-Day Photo Journey. I gained a love for photography when I was required to take a fine arts class for college--I chose photography. The course required a lot of work--Professor Loehr saw to that--but it opened my eyes to a new world. It's been many years since I took that class and I don't know how much I actually remember, but following Laura Delagal's 365 Photo Journey and watching my niece's love for taking pictures has peeked my interested in photography again. Although I don't have a professional camera, I did receive a really nice Sony digital (point-and-shoot) camera from my sweetie for Christmas this year. Going through some difficult times in my life, I thought that undertaking my own 365-day photo journey might be a way to relieve a little stress and have some fun with my new toy. Through this journey I will capture some of life's joy and its pain, but I will also be able to refocus the lens of my life on the many wonderful things that God has created. Well, here goes. Wish me luck!

Day 93 - 4/3/2011

Little Miss Kellyanne
I am cheating a bit today.  Yes, I must confess that I didn't take any photos today.  Church was fabulous and then I went to the nursing home to visit my mother and I had to deal with some issues when I got there, so  . . . taking pictures was honestly the last thing on my mind.  I did take this photo Saturday night, so I did take it this weekend.

My sweet little granddaughter was just so intent on her mother's voice and she was smiling at the sound of Kelly taking.  It was precious.  You can tell by the look on her face that she loves her momma!  I wish I had taken the picture showing Kelly and Kellyanne's face but, as they say, hind-sight is 20-20.

Goodnight, my blog friends.  I have tried to check in on some of your blogs, so hopefully I'm not too far behind. I have Bible study on Monday night, but I hope to catch up with everyone later in the week.  I miss you with I don't get to see your photos and the work that you have been doing.  I learn so much from each of you.  God bless each of you, and good night!

  3. You're right...so precious!

I'm in the same boat. It's all I can do right now just to keep up with posting a picture a day. I'm trying to play catch-up, too.
